Wellington is a a happy, fun-loving old English Sheepdog. He is loved by our twelve-year-old Sheepdog, Winston. Wellie loves to spend his day out and about in our neighborhood. Wellie’s favorite activity these days is chasing water from sprinklers. He is very outgoing and adventurous. We have truly enjoyed this wonderful addition to our family and look forward to what new activity and experience every day brings.

My name is Soleil, and I am both naughty and nice! I love to chew sticks, play fetch, and run in the yard. I’m a very smart little girl and am always looking for things to stick my nose into. I like to cuddle only when I’m ready for a nap. I am not afraid of anything except the vacuum cleaner, which sometimes gets me into trouble! Now that summer is here I love to splash in my little backyard pool, and play with as many doggy friends as I can!

Tommy was the first of seven puppies. He is the cute one and the most brave. He’s very friendly with my friends. He’s sometimes stubborn but adorable in every way. The leader of his gang, he loves find objects and retrieve the ball. Surprisingly, he does not feel threatened to go to the vet–he loves the attention!

Charlie loves the snow. He loves the dog park and any place with other dogs. He loves to be with his family and loves his special treats. He eats 2 pounds of meat every day. He lives on a river but does not like to swim at all. But he does like the shallows at our cottage at our lake. He likes outdoors more than indoors. He loves to bite anything that dangles. He loves to be with the neighbors dogs and play with them.

One of the more frequent questions sent to doggiebuddy is: “How old does a dog have to be to begin training.” It is a great question because with some training methods, such as using a collar and leash to correct a puppy, you could potentially harm your dog. But that is not true with clicker training! You should begin clicker training as soon as you get your puppy.
